Christian Sleiman is a visual artist. He draws, plays with found objects, and interacts mostly with other-than-humans. His interest branches out from a need to uncover how the organization of mundane activities came to be. The practice launches primarily from a playful investigating his own daily actions in order to uncover how these structures function.
Currently, his projects are focused on the food that he consumes and forages. He is looking into the forces that shaped the food system and the system of shaping food to appeal to consumers. He is also researching the impact of western culture on the rise of the Mediterranean diet and its implication on local cuisine.
