Florian Carl is a community organizer, writer, and amateur musician who lives in Italy. He is currently doing a PhD on lineages of resistance against European conquest, focusing on Western environmental movements. His research expands from Sylvia Winter and speculative fiction to many years of organizing alongside people and lands most affected by systemic oppression. In the past, Florian has written for Al Jazeera, Frame Contemporary Art Finland, and Waging Nonviolence. As part of Cloudberry Collective, he supports anti-colonial action and decolonial initiatives, especially across Europe.
