Hamid Khalafallah is a development practitioner, researcher and policy analyst. He is currently a PhD student researching democratic transitions in Africa, at the Global Development Institute of the University of Manchester, UK. Before that, Hamid worked as a Programme Officer for the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) in Sudan, in support of the country's democratic transition. He was also a non-resident fellow with the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP) in the US, where he worked on inclusive governance and mobilisation in Sudan.
