No pride in genocide: A comic strip
With its false narratives, Zionist propaganda bluntly weaponises queer Palestinians, in service of a genocide.
Joseph Kai is a Lebanese illustrator and comic author based in Paris, experimenting with realistic, speculative and self-fiction in the medium of comics. His debut graphic novel, L’Intranquille (Casterman, 2021), was published in English by Street Noise Books under the title Restless. The story explores the anxieties, desires, and dreams of Samar, an artist living in Lebanon during one of the country's most turbulent times. Since 2010, Kai has been a member of the collective Samandal Comics as contributor, and later as editor-in-chief for Geography (2015), 3000 and Cutes (2022). Joseph has also participated in comics festivals around the world; he exhibited his works at L'Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris and held his first solo exhibition I Never Asked to Be So Sad and So Sexy at TWXS in Brussels. You can explore more of his work on his page IG: @josephkai and purchase his prints through his online shop (Author's photo credit Stefano Marchionini).
