Laura Silvia Battaglia is an Italian reporter, specializing in crisis and conflict areas since 2007. With a particular focus on Yemen and Iraq, she has reported over the years about ethnic, religious and gender minorities, as well as migration, terrorism and human and arms trafficking.
An author and radio-host for Radio3, she is also a documentary filmmaker. She contributes, among other international media, with The Washington Post. She is the author of the investigative book "Letters from Guantanamo" (Castelvecchi publisher, 2021) and the graphic novel "The Yemeni bride" (Becco Giallo publisher, 2017), written with the illustrator Paola Cannatella.
