Nagham Khalil is an independent researcher, storyteller, and photographer whose work explores narratives: how they are found, shaped, challenged, reimagined, and shared, and who has the power to tell them. Her practice moves beyond academic research, working across storytelling, visual practice, and participatory processes. She engages with and adapts methodologies, frameworks, and creative approaches – like the Photovoice method – to question conventional structures of representation and create spaces that center the people, relationships, and lived experiences behind narratives. Her work is grounded in a commitment to collective knowledge, presence, and shared authorship, from developing and reworking narratives to finding meaningful ways of disseminating them with the people who created and lived them.
