A study conducted by researchers Safa Mohamme Sajid, Prof. Muntaha Ahmed Mohammed Al-Nuaime, highlighted the decline of green spaces in Baghdad.

The study titled “Spatial distribution of green spaces and their homogeneity with the population and areas of the city of Baghdad on its two sides Karkh and Rusafa – a comparative study”, was published in 2022.
